Shirley Ann Felty

Shirley Ann Felty, 84, of Lucasville, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at her residence.

She was born March 17, 1941 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late John and Pearl Caldwell Whisman. Shirley was a homemaker and former manager of Minford Airport restaurant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Eugene “Bob” Felty, in 1971; her second husband, William Everett Tackett in 2015; a daughter, Sheila Diane Perkins; a grandchild, Raymond “Lil Ray” Beadle III; two brothers, Donald Whisman and Tommy Whisman; and two sisters, Lula Mae Whisman and Edith Whisman.

Shirley is survived by her children, Kathy (Raymond) Beadle of Old Town, Florida, Robert “Bobby” (Cherri) Felty of Lucasville, Tammy (Joe) Page of West Portsmouth, Robin (Greg) Guilkey of Waverly, and William “Billy” (Donna) Tackett of Lucasville; a daughter-in-law, Alicia Felty of Lucasville; her grandchildren, Melissa Beadle, Jamie Beadle, Branson Johnson, Brinley Smith, Paiton Jones, Breyden Jones, Samantha (Josh) Hoskins, Joseph “Joey” Page, Ashley (Geoff) Givan, Andrew (Heaven) Guilkey, William “Lil Bill” Tackett, Kourtney Tackett, and Kimberly (Dan) Spires; one brother, Bob Whisman of Lucasville; three sisters, Hazel Manns, Teresa Bragdon, and Marsha Kelly, all of Lucasville; 20 great-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren on the way.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, with Raymond Beadle-Bideaux officiating. Burial will follow in Jacobs Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.
