Marion Emma Wickersham
Marion Emma Wickersham, 80, of Otway, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. She was born on March 1, 1945, in Gibbstown, New Jersey, to the late John Wenzel Maurer and Emma Mildred Maurer.
Marion graduated from Miami Norland High School in 1964. On March 3, 1979, she married the love of her life, Bruce Wickersham, and together they shared 46 years filled with love, laughter, and many beautiful adventures.
Marion had a heart for serving others, especially children. She found great joy volunteering in Hills Chapel’s nursery, preparing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, and serving at Mt. Hope Bible Camp. Her love for people and her gentle spirit were evident in everything she did.
She cherished her friendships deeply—especially those with fellow seniors at Hills Chapel, and their adventures together led by Jackie Murphy.
In addition to her devoted husband, Marion is survived by her loving sister, Shirley (Bruce) Teerlink of Jacksonville, Florida, and many cousins from New Jersey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hills Chapel on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., with calling hours beginning at 1:00 p.m. for friends and family to gather.
Arrangements are under the care of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home, Otway.
In lieu of flowers monetary donations may be made to Hills Chapel of Otway or Mt. Hope Bible Camp, (in memory of Marion Wickersham in the memo line) 3433 Rocky Fork Rd. Otway, OH 45657.
