Evan Eugene “Gene” Elliott

Evan Eugene “Gene” Elliott, 96, of Lucasville, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at his residence.

He was born December 12, 1928 in New Boston, a son of the late Edward Valentine and Nishia Belle Adams Elliott. Gene was a retired career United States Air Force veteran, having served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a member of the William Baker post, American Legion, and attended Lucasville Center Street Church.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Skeens Elliott; his three children, Connie Elliott, Michael Elliott, and Keith Elliott; and his brother, Glen Elliott.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Louise Adkins Elliott; his grandchildren, Julie (Gary, II) Payne, Jason (Maray) Elliott, and Sarah (Marco) Rocha; and his great-grandchildren, Gary Payne, Robert Payne, Emma Elliott, Liam Elliott, Kate Elliott, and Alexander Rocha; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025 at the McKinley Funeral Home, with Phil Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery, with military graveside services by the William Baker and James Irwin Posts, American Legion. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the services on Friday at the funeral home
