Michael Leroy “Crabby” Crabtree

Michael Leroy “Crabby” Crabtree, 63, of Otway, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.

He was born September 28th 1961 in Portsmouth, a son of the the late Mary A Mitchell, and Gary Crabtree. He was a 1979 Northwest High School graduate and a union carpenter from Local 437 for over 25 years.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by an infant nephew, Justin Crabtree.

He is survived by his sister, Roshell (Dexter) Caudill of Otway; his brother Bryan (Ursula) Crabtree of Chillicothe; his son, Greg Taylor of Portsmouth; his grandson, Braxton Taylor of Portsmouth; his Aunts Donna (Paul, deceased) Gregory of Lucasville, Rosanna (Roy) McCall of Lucasville, and Carolyn (Paul) Crabtree of Lucasville; his nieces and nephews, Tiffany (Travis) Holsinger of Otway, Peyton (Pernia) Crabtree of Wheelersburg, and Meghan Crabtree of Florida; four step-brothers and four step-sisters; and a host of great nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he cherished spending time with. He is also survived by his life-long friend, Darrell Arbaugh, and many other friends who will miss him dearly.
