Eula Merle Alexander

Eula Merle Alexander, 80, of Lucasville, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born April 2, 1944 in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William and Stella Spencer Tackett. She was a 1963 Northwest High School graduate and a member of the National Honor Society. She worked five years at Frank Tiedge Ford before entering banking, where she worked 38 years at Fifth Third Bank as a banker and financial advisor.

In addition to her parents, Eula was preceded in death by her son, John Tyler Johnson, and her brothers, David Tackett and Toby Tackett.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Alexander, who she married on December 1, 2007 in Lucasville; her brothers Terry (Cindy) Tackett of McDermott, Dwight Tackett, and Anthony (Susan) Tackett of Monroe, Georgia; her sisters, Eunice (Tom) Benner of Waverly, Debbie (Mike) Koenig of Galloway, and Sandy Tackett of Galloway; her sisters-in-law, Carol Tackett and Judy Tackett; her grandchildren, Marcus, Kaylynn, Heidi, Kristian, and Haley Alexander; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Eula was saved and put her trust in the Lord. She & Bob shared over 17 years of their lives together. Her husband Bob, her late son Tyler, and her three grandchildren who she raised were the loves of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Millers Run Church, with Rob Casey, Andy Day, and Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the funeral service at the church.
