Thelma Adams

Thelma Adams, 80, of Rosemount, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at SOMC Hospice with her family by her side. She was born March 21, 1944 in Buena Vista, OH to the late Amos and Myrtle (Lewis) Arthur. She lived a life grace, compassion, and strength, and she faced every challenge with courage and resilience. Her love knew no bounds, and she always put the needs of others before her own. She was a source of comfort and support during difficult times, and her presence brought joy and laughter to every gathering.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Adams, a brother, Jerry Dean Arthur, and three sisters, Fannie Flannigan, Phyllis Hess, and Anna Harris.

Thelma is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Coldiron of Minford, Teresa Adams of Rosemount, and Angela McGlone (Craig) of Minford, four brothers, Roy Arthur of Stout, Gary Arthur of Stout, Larry Arthur (Vicky) of Friendship, and Doug Arthur of Lucasville, two sisters, Rita Ferguson (Edward) of Elyria, and Crystal Murphy (Michael) of New Boston, two brothers-in-law, David Harris of Columbus and Robert Hess of Rarden.

Thelma also leaves behind her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she so much adored. Her four grandchildren are, Amber Lewis (Josh), Jeffrey Coldiron Jr., Alexis Williams (Brandon), and SrA William “Trey” Commeans III, and two great-grandchildren, Amiee Lewis and Charles Williams.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Melcher Hammer Funeral Home with Pastor Brett Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at McKendree Cemetery in Nile Township. A visitation for friends and relatives will be on Saturday, from 11:00 A.M. until the start of service at 1:00 P.M.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at SOMC Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Thelma and encourage anyone to make a donation in memory of Thelma to SOMC Hospice in lieu of flowers.
