Ellen Norman

Ellen Norman, 82, of St. Marys, Ohio passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, Ohio. She was born April 1, 1942 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Charles E. and Dorothy Cable. On June 25, 1960 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Roger Frances Norman who preceded her in death on April 16, 2011. Surviving are sons, Kenneth (Dianna) Norman of St. Marys and Roger (Janel) Norman of Carmel, Indiana; grandchildren, Seth (Megan) Norman, Kirsten (Larry McIntosh) Norman, Roger Dale Norman and Josh (Chelsea) Coder; great-grandchildren, Riley, Ellie, Ava, Maddox, Hudson, Mason and Daniel; brothers, McKinley Cable, Robert Cable, Charley Cable, Frank Cable and Johnny Cable; and sisters, Audrey Cyrus, Mattie Culver and Maggie Stephens. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Dale Lee Norman; sisters, Rosemary “Mary” Brown and Mamie “Suzi” Johnson; and a great-grandchild, baby Frank.

Ellen was an extraordinary woman who was a gentle and genuine soul welcoming anyone into her home for a meal. Ellen had a large extended family that she loved with all of her heart.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway with George Vastine officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park.
