Gregory Alan Blume

Gregory Alan Blume, 65, of Waverly, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in Naples, Florida.

He was born January 26, 1959 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Thurl Richard and Shirley Louise Fichtner Blume. Greg was a 1977 Valley High School graduate and received his Associate’s degree from Shawnee State University. He was owner/operator of Copyrite Printing/ Trophies Unlimited in Wheelersburg and was a huge Ohio State University supporter and fan. He was a member of the Jefferson Township Fire Department where he served 48 years and was former secretary-treasurer of the Clarktown Firefighters’ Association.

In addition to his parents, Greg was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Sue Blume.

Greg is survived by his wife, Sara Ann Strickland Blume, who he married on July 3, 1982 in New Boston; his daughters, Sara Beth (Nathan) Bazler of Naples, Florida, and Amy Renee Palla of Waverly; his grandchildren, Cruz, Tallulah, and Harlow Bazler, and Beckham, Israel, and Iris Palla; and his brother, T. Kevin (Pam) Blume of Minford.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church in Wheelersburg, with Bob Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, and an hour before the funeral at the church on Wednesday.
