Richard Lee Norman

Richard Lee Norman, 81, of Portsmouth, formerly of Lucasville, died Friday, April 12, 2024 at his residence. He was born February 11, 1943 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Harold and Eldora Artis Norman.

Richard proudly served in the US Air Force, and afterward, worked as a guard and process operator at USEC in Piketon. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Richard is survived by his wife, Gloria Osborne Norman, who he married on March 2, 1963 in Portsmouth; his sons, Richard (Lilibeth) Norman of Portsmouth and Ryan Norman of Lucasville; two grandchildren, Chelsey Neal and Grace Norman; great grandchildren, Jerry W. Safarik III and Mackinzie Neal; and a brother, Gary Norman, of Portsmouth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Chance.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. A military graveside service will be held in Rushtown Cemetery at a later date.
