Betty Jane Taylor

Betty Jane Taylor, 95, of Lucasville, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at SOMC Hospice.

She was born November 11, 1928 in Rushtown, a daughter of the late Harry Earl and Sylvia Powell Crabtree.

Betty was a homemaker, a member of the Lucasville Community of Christ, and a former member of Pleasant Valley Community of Christ.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James, Dale, Willard, Michael and William Crabtree; and her sisters, Marcella Burton, and Christine Porter.

Betty is survived by her husband, Richard Throckmorton Taylor, whom she married November 20, 1946; her sons, Richard “Rick” Taylor of Lucasville, Steven Taylor of South Carolina, and Zane Taylor of Lucasville; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Crabtree of Lima.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
