Joy Lea Eggers
Joy Lea Eggers, 85, of Lucasville, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at her residence.
She was born July 16, 1937 in Alkol, WV, a daughter of the late Desmond Griffith Huffman.
Joy was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and Administrator for Edgewood Manor in Lucasville, a Duval High School graduate, and a Kentucky Colonel.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eggers; one son, Rick Stowers; grandson, Justin Stowers; step-granddaughter, Misty Mangus; five brothers, Jimbo, Curtis, Ed, and Gene Huffman, and Gary Messer; and three sisters, Eloise Howard, Betty Lou Adkins, and Virginia Clark.
Joy is survived by her son, Donnie Stowers of Minford; step-daughter, Sandra DelTempo of Florida; two grandchildren, Erica Stowers and Ryan Stowers; her great great granddaughter Alaina Stowers; and step great great grandaughter Rebecca DelTempo.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon, Friday, July 14, 2023 in Lucasville Cemetery with Dave Colegrove officiating. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville .
