Donna Sue (Maynard) Bentley

Donna Sue (Maynard) Bentley of Minford, OH, passed away peacefully on

July 12, 2023 surrounded by her family at SOMC Hospice Center.

Donna was born on April 2, 1950 to Rome and Mary Jane Maynard. She

graduated from Glenwood High School in 1968 and continued her education

at Ohio University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in

education.

 

She deeply cherished her time at the Northwest Local School District where

she taught for 39 years. During her career, she built friendships with both

colleagues and students that lasted a lifetime. She had a natural gift for

lifting others up and was passionate about helping students reach their full

potential. Donna was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in New Boston,

OH.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Jane (Buckley) Maynard, her

father Rome Maynard, her twin sisters Betty Lou and Caroline Sue Maynard,

and her older sister Shirley Ann (Maynard) Carver.

 

Donna is survived by her uncle Lewis Maynard, her niece Bobbi Jo (Carver)

Brown, her daughter Holly (Tony) Wilson, her son Steven Michael (Jill)

Bentley, her granddaughters: Halli (Evan) Price, and Elisabeth Wilson, her

lifelong friends Jack (Diane) Rice and Lucille (Howard) Hunt, along with

many other loved ones.

 

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM, all at F.C

Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH, 45662.

Private interment in Friendship Cemetery.
