Raymond Lanzie Maynard

Raymond Lanzie Maynard, 92, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Raymond was born December 14, 1930 in Laurel County, London, KY to the late Lanzie Maynard and Lorena Flickinger Maynard. Raymond was employed at Portsmouth Casting as a Molder. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Adkins Maynard on February 19, 2017, whom he married September 17, 1950 in South Webster. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin, Donald and Allen and three sisters, Norma Piquet, Ruth Potters and Linda Adkins. Raymond is survived by two sons, James Stephen (Suzie) Maynard and Rick Glenn (Gina) Maynard; two daughters, Margie Ann Brown (Jeff Aeh), of Minford and Vicki Lynn (Mark) Musser of Sciotoville; two brothers, Richard Maynard of South Webster and Herman Maynard of Indiana; two sisters, Wanda Riley of Columbus and Anita Beechler (Eddie) of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Steven (Sarah) Brown, Craig (Kara) Brown, Jimmy (Carol) Maynard, Miranda (Alex) Hadsell, Megan (Lacey) Maynard and Derrick Maynard; seven great grandchildren, Brianna Brown, Amelia Brown, Payton Maynard, Vince, Axel and Oliver Hadsell and Hunter Maynard.

Services for Raymond will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Sherri Cummins officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery.
