Marian “Katie” Walters

Marian “Katie” Walters, 65, of Piketon, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.  She was born September 14, 1957 in Ironton, Ohio, daughter of the late Ernest and Rosemary Thomas Brown.  On February 27, 1987 she was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Walters who survives.  Also surviving are a son, Mark (Shea) Walters of Fort Mill, South Carolina, a step-daughter, Julie Graves of Chillicothe, Ohio, grandchildren, Staci, Xander, Rora, Finn and Kenzie; a brother, John (Wanda) Brown of Flatwoods, Kentucky and a sister, Cheryl (Jim) Lawson of Ironton, Ohio.

Katie was retired from Atomic Credit Union and she served her country in the U.S. Army.  She loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, hiking, camping and bicycling.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Jon Black officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
