Phyllis Jean Arthur Hess

Phyllis Jean Arthur Hess, 73 of Otway, gained her Heavenly wings on Saturday, June 24th, 2023.Born September 5, 1949, in Scioto County to the late Amos and Myrtle (Lewis) Arthur.
Phyllis was a graduate of Portsmouth West High School and attended Shawnee State University in pursuit of a degree in teaching.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years; Robert “Bob” Hess, daughter; Rebecca Hess, grandson; Andrew Hess and granddaughter Angel Hess both at home. Brothers; Roy Arthur, Gary Arthur, Larry (Vicky)Arthur, and Doug Arthur Sisters; Anna (David) Harris, Thelma Adams, Rita (Eddie) Ferguson, and Crystal (Michael) Murphy and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by brother Jerry Arthur, sister Fannie Flannigan, daughter Julia Marie Hess, and son Robert “BJ” Hess Jr.

Arrangements are in the care of Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.  The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
