Edward Eugene Davis

Edward Eugene Davis, 75, of Wheelersburg passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at OSU Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Edward was born October 23, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to the late Lawrence Edward Davis and Mildred Hazel Spradlin Davis. Edward was a member of Rubyville Community Church. He was employed as an Engineer for N & W Railway, retiring after 38 years and he belonged to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen Local 511. He was also a member of Nauvoo Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Jo Davis and a brother, Roger L. Davis. Edward is survived by his wife, Christy Lynn Johnson Davis, whom he married March 5, 1966 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He is also survived by a son, Stephen (Jennifer) Davis; a daughter, Angela (Michael) Martin; a sister, Cathy Sirek; and six grandchildren, Katie (Corey) Lawhun, Joshua Martin, Aaron (Rachel) Martin, Haven Davis, Andrew Davis and Wyatt Davis.

Services for Edward will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Rubyville Community Church with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, June 12, 2023 with Masonic Rites at 8:00 pm and at the church from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service on Tuesday.
