Terry Arnold Ratliff

Terry Arnold Ratliff, 73, of Lucasville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at home.  He was born December 16, 1949 in Portsmouth, Ohio son of the late Burnice and Mary Smith Ratliff.  On October 28, 1972 he was united in marriage to Vickie Pratt Ratliff who survives.  Also surviving are his children, Ryan (Marsha) Ratliff of Lucasville and Amy (James) Leeth also of Lucasville; eleven grandchildren, Ryan (David) Shope, Kenzie (Daniel) Leeth, Erika (Riley) Shope, Braydon (girlfriend Jillian Forbes) Leeth, Dylan Leeth, Layla Smith, Sydnie Ratliff, Abigail Leeth, Emily Leeth, Katie Leeth, Jaxyn Leeth; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Piper and Weston; Hannah Schackart and Gail Montgomery who Terry thought of as grandchildren and a sister, Burnadean (Robert) Kinnison of Piketon, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Terry was retired from USEC.  In his retirement he enjoyed taking care of his yard, riding his side by side and camping with family.  He also has a collection of model cars that he cherished.  He doted on any vehicle he owned, especially his 1931 Ford Model A and 1949 Ford 500 Custom.  He also attended Mt. Zion Church of Christ in Christian Union.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Cheryl Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon with military honors by American Legion Post 142.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
