Shonary Gayle Jenkins
Shonary Gayle Jenkins, who loved to be called “Memaw” by her beloved grandkids, departed her family on April 26, 2023 at SOMC Hospice.
Shonary was born March 19, 1972 to Glenda (Fred) Spurlock and Roger (Nancy) Hall.
She was a mother to Rachel (Chase) Garrett, and a wonderful, loving, memaw to her three grandkids; Sofia, Hailee, and Hunter Garrett. She watched after them and helped raise them with the love and devotion only a memaw could have. She was loved fiercely by her husband, Anthony who took care of her and was beside her until death.
Shonary was a member of The Rock church where she enjoyed spending time in fellowship, worshiping the Lord. She was a former Union Journeyman Electrician out of Portsmouth Local #575, and a 1990 South Webster High School graduate.
Along with her grandchildren she doted on, Shonary was survived by her husband, Anthony Jenkins, whom she married November 19, 2005 in Portsmouth; two brothers, Roger (Kelly) Hall and Jason (Kellie) Hall both of South Webster; and two sisters, Melanie (Randy)Dalton of McDermott and Lisa Jenkins of Lucasville; numerous special aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2022 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Graveside services will follow in Scioto Burial Park in McDermott with Rob Miller officiating.
