Thomas (Tom) Estel Noel III

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful man who touched the hearts of many. Thomas (Tom) Estel Noel III, a loving husband and father, passed away on April 15, 2023 at the age of 61.

Tom was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on February 9, 1962 to Thomas and Edna Noel, and grew up in Waverly, Ohio.  He graduated from Waverly High School and the Columbus College of Art and Design, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.  While he always contributed his gifts of design, painting, sculpting, and construction to every project in which he was involved, his true passion lay in helping others in any way possible.

Throughout his life, Tom was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those around him. He was most proud of his involvement in helping his son and daughter with whatever fun art, music or building project they needed throughout their school years and has so enjoyed being actively involved in their lives. His kindness and generosity touched many, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand or an empathetic ear.

Tom will be deeply missed by his wife Vicki, children Miranda and Thomas, son-in-law Keegan, and his granddaughter Porter, as well as his brother and sisters and many friends and coworkers. His legacy of kindness, compassion and service will live on through the many lives he has touched.

Tom is survived by his wife Vicki Noel, daughter Miranda Hubbard (Keegan), son Thomas Noel IV, granddaughter Porter Hubbard, sisters Frances Barber (John), Linda Vernillo (Don), Gina Clark (Mark), Denise Adams (Ritch), Marybeth Krumel (Jim), Angela Hall (Jay), Anthony Noel (Michelle), and preceded in death by his parents and his brother Andrew Noel.

You are the best, Tom.  We love you.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 21, 2023 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Josh Remy officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Rd.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
