JoAnne McGuire

JoAnne McGuire 72, of Otway died Monday March 6, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. She was born June 20, 1950 in Portsmouth to the late Walter E. Meadows and Mary Ruth Slavens Meadows Sperry.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Philip R. McGuire, a son Jason Lee Dunham, brothers, Johnny Clifford Meadows Sr., and David Ronald Meadows, brother in law Danny Ray Colley Sr., and grandchildren Megan Meadows and Jordan Tyler Dunham.

She is survived by 3 children, Angela (Meadows) Culver, Johnny Ray Meadows, And Ricky Dunham. 8 grandchildren, Erica Culver, Courtney (Tyler) Culver, Sierra (Dewey) Grooms, Johnny Ray (Erin) Meadows Jr., Cody (Courtney) Meadows, Jacob (Jordan) Meadows, Dylan Meadows, and Laiken (Chad) Crabtree, 9 great grandchildren, Kylie Journey, Deegan Grooms, Brynn Grooms, Kennedy Latta, Imery Meadows, Kairi Meadows, Gunner Jenkins, Elaina Dunham, Jaseleigh Dunham, sisters, Diana Colley, Marianne Crisp, brothers, Walter R. (Paula) Meadows, Timothy Sperry, and 2 sister in laws, Candy Meadows and Carol Meadows.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday March 13, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Alex Bloomfield officiating and interment in Jacobs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to SOMC Hospice.
