Gail Moore

Gail Moore, 86, of Otway, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

He was born July 17, 1936 at Mt. Joy, Ohio, a son of the late Ora and Hazel McFann Moore.

Gail was a retired Highway Construction Superintendent for Jurgensen with 36 years of service and a 1954 Rarden High School graduate.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Benner Moore, June 27, 2018; two brothers, Eugene and Richard Moore; and two sisters, Carrie Vogel and Erma Faye Morrison.

Gail is survived by two sons, Scott (Neva) Moore and Steve (Jennifer) Moore both of Otway; one daughter, Tamela (John) Morton of Otway; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Carl (Pat) Moore of Otway.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Annie, Sherry, Judy, Kathy, and Sharon for their care and compassion shown to Gail.

Friends and family will celebrate Gail’s life from noon till 3 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
