Emmabelle Easter

Emmabelle Easter, 84 of Lucasville, died Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Bridgeport 360 in Portsmouth.

She was born September 8, 1938, in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Robert W. and Frances E. Lundy Henry.

Emmabelle was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a former employee of Patterson Paper Box and Valley Wholesale Foods. She was a 1956 Valley High School graduate.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Easter, October 1, 1972; her son Donald Keeney; four sisters, Betty Lou Henry, Dorothy Phyllis Henry, Joyce Ann Marsh, and Jean Thompson.

Emmabelle is survived by one son, Douglas (Kim) Keeney of Lucasville; one daughter, Melissa (Charlie) Hettinger of Lucasville; one step-daughter, Vikki (Leonard) Risner of New Boston; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Robert F. Henry of Lucasville, Michael Henry and Patrick Henry, both of Chicora, PA; Ronald Henry of Lucasville; and one sister, Rosemary Pettit of Piketon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Burial will follow in Rushtown Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 till the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
