Michelle Renee Crabtree

Michelle Renee Crabtree, 50, of Miamisburg passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Kettering Health in Miamisburg. She was born January 7, 1973 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Michael Alan Crabtree and Gail Louise Moore Crabtree. Michelle was a teacher, worked in retail sales, and attended Bethel Baptist Church in West Carrollton. She graduated from Miamisburg High School and also from Wright State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in History and Elementary Education.

Michelle was an avid Duke Basketball fan and followed her team to several sites during March Maddness. She worked at the Miamisburg Youth Center and taught at Bethel Baptist Church’s school where she touched the lives of many. Michelle was a people person and loved talking to and traveling with her friends. Her main concern in life was her walk with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She attended church services, read her Bible, prayed for and witnessed to many because she wanted them to know her Jesus. Michelle fought her battle with cancer and thought she had won but it came back. She is now resting in the arms of Jesus.

She is survived by her cousins Eric Crabtree, Jill Gullett, Donald Gullett, Randy Moore, and Brandy Moore; special cousins Ethan Crabtree, Elijah “Eli” Crabtree, and Levi Stewart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents Wames & Hazel Crabtree and Russell & Clara Moore, her uncle Steve Crabtree, aunt Diana Gullett, cousins Michael Jones and Adam Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Jim Shihady officiating. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church in West Carrollton from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday prior to the service at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 10:00 to 11:00.
