Age 71 of Wheelersburg, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at his home. He was born August 19, 1946 in Wheelersburg to Homer and Martha (Justice) Campbell. A 1964 graduate of East High School, Paul honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. Professionally he became a Union Pipefitter and before that worked at the Cyclops Steel Mill. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, deer hunting, taking care of his yard, especially the mowing. He retired from the Pipefitters Union in 2000 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 91 in Wheelersburg. Paul loved life and lived it to its fullest. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rebecca “Becky” (Kelly) Campbell; son, Ty Campbell of Wheelersburg; daughter, Leanne Campbell of Winston-Salem, NC; brother, Homer (Carolyn) Campbell of Wheelersburg; sister, Erma Campbell Clark of Grove City; grandchildren, Marissa Campbell of Lucasville, Levi Campbell of Lucasville, Megan Lee of Winston-Salem, NC, and Lindsey Lee of Winston-Salem, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Campbell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with military honors provided by James Dickey Post #23, American Legion. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
