Shirley Mae Marshall Buckler
Shirley Mae Marshall Buckler, 82, of Washington Court House, a former Lucasville resident, died Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe.
She was born July 4, 1943, in Stockdale, a daughter of the late Henry and Lucy James Marshall. She was a 1961 Valley High School graduate and manager of IGA in Mount Sterling for 25 years before retiring. Shirley loved spending time with family and friends and was known for preparing large dinners for holiday and family gatherings. She also loved watching auto races and was a big fan of both the Bengals and Reds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Buckler; four brothers, Clyde Marshall, Roy Marshall, Kenneth Marshall, and Paul David Marshall; and three sisters, Sandi Frazer, Brenda Doss, and Pauline Dyer.
Shirley is survived by her son, Toby Buckler, of Blacklick; six grandchildren, Braden Buckler, Brynna Buckler, Megan Buckler, Elizabeth Selmon, Brooklyn Selmon, and Gavin Selmon; a great-granddaughter, Avery Scott; two brothers, Ron Marshall of Chillicothe and James Marshall of Lucasville; and two sisters, Bernice Randolph of Bucyrus, and Laverne Eichenlaub of Clyde.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 17, 2025 at the McKinley Funeral Home with Bud Mefford officiating. Burial will follow in Jacobs Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 pm until the services Friday at the funeral home.
