Carl Douglas “Doug” Taylor

Carl Douglas “Doug” Taylor, 66, of Wheelersburg, formerly of McDermott, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.
He was born February 25, 1959 in Portsmouth, a son of Mildred Hilt Taylor Lundy of Portsmouth and the late Maynard “Ducky” Taylor.
Doug was a retired maintenance mechanic for the United States Enrichment Corporation in Piketon and was a 1977 Northwest High School graduate.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Teri Shannon Taylor, October 14, 2022; his step-father, Ray Lundy; and two sisters, Linda Stamper and Deborah Preston.
Doug is also survived by two daughters, Melissa (Eli) Edenfield of Cincinnati and Shelly (Chance) Taylor Cooper of Wheelersburg, and his canine son, Buddy; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Mike (Cindy) Taylor of Dayton and Roger Taylor of Sciotoville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with son-in-law Chance Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Rushtown Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
