Barbara Ann Phipps

Barbara Ann Phipps, 86, of Newark, a former Lucasville resident, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehab.

She was born July 15, 1938 in Columbus, a daughter of the late John J. and Margaret Sellers Quinn. She was a homemaker and former medical secretary.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie “Bobo” Phipps, on November 2, 2007; a daughter, Elaine Latour; and a granddaughter, Kalina.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Katrina Latour of Newark; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patty Brown.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 3, 2025 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, with Randall Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call from 11:30 until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
