Marrietta York
Marrietta York, 68, of Lucasville, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at SOMC Hospice.
She was born February 11, 1956 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Claude and Nannie Osborne Adams.
Marrietta was a homemaker, of the Baptist Faith, recently Baptized, and a member of the Cacklin Hens online group.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell York, whom she married June 2, 1995 in Lucasville; her step-mother, Sharon Mills of Chapmanville, WV; daughters, Sharon (Eugene “Boom”) Green of Winston-Salem, NC, Ocie (Dennis Darby) Clifford of South Portsmouth, KY, Dorothy (Michael) Adkins of South Shore, KY; Becky Lane of Seward, Alaska, Johnny Lane of Portsmouth, Misty York of Panama City, FL, Dana York of Kadena, Japan, Shelly York of Panama City, FL; two sons, Clarence (Andrea) Lane of Lucasville and Marcus Kuhn of Lucasville; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lester Mullins of Logan, WV and Michael Adams of Man, WV; three sisters, , Debbie Santiago of Norwalk, OH, Margaret Pinson of Norwalk, OH, and Anita Adams of Chapmanville, WV.
Marietta was also preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Roy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home.
