Alnora Louise Altman
Alnora Louise Altman, 92, of McDermott, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at her daughter’s residence.
She was born August 11, 1932 in New Boston, a daughter of the late Milford and Florence Effie Cooper Evans. Alnora was a former employee of Williams Shoe Factory and of Gulker’s Gift Shop. She was a member of the Promised Land Singers and Evans Sisters and sang at many area churches.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Altman, on August 30, 1990; two brothers, Arnold McGraw and James Evans; and six sisters, Dollie Smith, Millie Dahlgren, Dorothy Broughton, Sadie McCann, Betty Niziol, and Marjean Turner.
Alnora is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Danny) Deemer of Lucasville; her sons, Michael (Angie) Smith of McDermott and Mark (Denise Rogers) Altman of Lucasville; a sister, Goldie Meadows of New Boston; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the McKinley Funeral Home, with Mike Bentley and Bob Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the funeral.
