Anthony “Tony” David Hobbs
Anthony “Tony” David Hobbs, 52, of Lucasville, died Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from injuries sustained in an automobile crash in Pike County. Tony was born on July 26, 1972, in Portsmouth, the son of Donald Ray and Carolyn Ruth Davis Hobbs, who survive.
Tony was a 1990 graduate of Northwest High School and the former Scioto County Joint Vocational School where he was in the masonry program. He worked as a tugger at Kirchhoff Automotive in Waverly. Tony also served in the US Navy,
Surviving are his parents, Don and Carolyn Hobbs of Lucasville; his wife, Leslie Marie Wilson of Columbus; three sons, Damien Benu Snouffer, serving with the U.S. Air Force in TX, Raven Piper Snouffer of Columbus and James Douglas Lawrence Hobbs of Lucasville; a brother, Donald Lee Hobbs of Lucasville; a sister, Karen (Christopher) Keller of Radcliff, KY; and his only niece, Kasey Keller of Radcliff, KY and her family; and biological siblings, Betty and Misty Pollitt of Kettering, Edy Canter of Darlington, IN, William Pollitt of Portsmouth and Shawn Kidwell of Lucasville.
Tony was preceded in death by two biological siblings, David Hollon and Becky Briggs.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor Frances Newman officiating. The James Dickey Post #23 American Legion Honor Guard will provide Military Rites. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour at noon.
The flag of the U.S. Navy will be flown at the funeral in honor of Mr. Hobb’s service to our nation.
