Janis Elizabeth Farmer

Janis Elizabeth Farmer, 45 of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at her residence.  She was born on September 13, 1978 in Chillicothe to James Alexander of Chillicothe and the late Krista Frey Alexander.  On January 27, 2002 she was united in marriage to Brian Thomas Farmer of Jackson. In addition to her husband and her father, Janis is survived by her children; Blace T. Farmer of Jackson, Paige Ashley (Jonathan) Farmer of Logan and Dawson James (Hailey) Hoselton stationed in Japan in the U.S. Navy; grandchildren, Violet and Grey; siblings, Andrea (Joe) Smith of Chillicothe, Joey (Heidi) Alexander of Heath and Jennifer (Jason) Murta of Chillicothe and her grandmother Betty Alexander of Chillicothe.  Janis was preceded in death by her mother Krista Frey Alexander.

Janis was a registered nurse at Holzer Jenkins Memorial Clinic in Wellston.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Mike Evans officiating.  Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
