Ronald Craig “Ronnie” Miller
Ronald Craig “Ronnie” Miller, 73, of Lucasville, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at SOMC Hospice.
He was born February 8, 1951 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Edward Lewis and Mary Marguerite Craig Miller. Ronnie was a 1969 Valley High School graduate and was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era. He worked as an Instrument Maintenance Mechanic at the former Piketon Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon, a Metrologist for the United States Enrichment Corporation, and a Procedure Writer for the Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Paducah.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Miller, his sister, Patricia Sullivan, and his three canine companions, Oggy, Sammy, and Pepper.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Kay Weber Miller, who he married on November 25, 2000 in Lucasville; his daughters, Shelly (Brian) Williams of Lucasville, Lisa (Billy) Esham of Powell, Brandi Miller of Lucasville, Amy Johnson of Kennewick, WA, and Elizabeth Scott of Portsmouth; his son, Jeremy Johnson of San Diego, CA; his brother, Merle (Charlotte) Miller of Lucasville; his grandchildren, Tucker Williams, Breckon Williams, Jake Ashkettle, Lucie Ashkettle, Lola Esham, Max Esham, Alisa Bayardo, Ethen Pruneda, Cire Stiltner, Drifton Stiltner, Kadin (Aaliyah) Scott, and Jameson Rideout; and his great-grandchild, Paisley Scott; as well as his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Lucasville Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the William Baker & James Irwin Posts, American Legion.
