Edna Mae Picklesimer

Edna Mae Picklesimer, 100, of Portsmouth, a former Lucasville resident, died Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Hillview Retirement Center.

     She was born May 4, 1925 in Pike County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Gus and June Collins Farris. Edna was a retired administrator for Southern Ohio Medical Center and of the Church of God faith. She enjoyed her friends, shopping, eating out, and working hard.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bradley Picklesimer in 1994; her daughter, Brenda “Teak” Kerlee; and two brothers, Otto Farris and Gail Farris.

     Edna is survived by her grandson, Brandon (Bri) Kerlee of Chicago; her granddaughter, Tearon Flaningan of Thailand; and many extended family members.

     Services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the McKinley Funeral Home, with Kevin Greene officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Rushtown Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
