Brooksie Ann Pence

Brooksie Ann Pence, 78, of Lucasville, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at her residence.

     She was born August 25, 1947 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late James and Louise Mullins Boldman. Brooksie was a nurse’s aide and member of Tick Ridge Community Church.

     In addition to her parents, Brooksie was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Pence, on February 26, 2021; two daughters, Sandra Pence and Diana Allen; a son, James Pence; four brothers, Harold Boldman, Donald Boldman, James “Sonny” Boldman, and Carl Boldman; and two sisters, Betty Russell and Joanne Hosey.

     Brooksie is survived by her daughters, Tonya (Dewey) Rose of Columbus, Mary Baker of New Boston, and Ronda Hobbs of Sunbury; her sons, Roy (Rhonda) Collins of Lucasville, JR Pence of Lucasville, and David Pence of Lucasville; a brother, Larry Boldman of West Virginia; two sisters, Pauine Branham of Hamilton and Darlene Powell of Otway; nine grandchildren, Carl Ray Baker, Brandon Baker, Johnathan Collins, Daniel Rose, Brooklin Collins, Adam Gay, Isaac Hobbs, Samuel Hobbs, and Joseph Hobbs; and nine great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 1, 2026 at Tick Ridge Community Church, with Bob Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oswego Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the services Friday at the church.
