Steven Miller Lewis

Steven Miller Lewis, 77, of Waverly, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at VA Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.  He was born July 23, 1948, son of the late Robert Eugene Lewis and Minnie “Fritzi” Eleanor (Miller) Bryant.  On August 5, 1973, he was united in marriage to Beverly Brown Lewis who survives.  Also surviving are two sons, Steven R. (Janet) Lewis of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Thomas G. (Betsy) Lewis of Chillicothe, Ohio; grandchildren, Ellie Lewis, Sophie Lewis, Charlie Lewis, Margo Lewis, Sam Lewis, Ayla Peden and Sloane Hilton; and a sister, Becki (Ken) Peden of Waverly. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his aunt, Donna E. Lewis.

Steve served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a school principal for Waverly City School District, a VA driver in Waverly and was a member of Calvary Methodist Church and VITI – Veterans In Transition Incorporated.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Dave Burriss officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Bridge Street.  Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
