Mickey Eugene “Mick” Frost

Mickey Eugene “Mick” Frost, 74, of Lucasville, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

He was born September 9, 1951 in Peebles, son of the late Edgar and Flo Hayslip Frost. Mick was a 1969 Peebles High School graduate and obtained his Associate’s degree in Business Management. He served as Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force from 1969 to 1973, and in the reserves from 1983 to 1995. Mick was a retired route driver for UPS. He served on the board and was a member of Lombardsville Community Church for over 20 years.

Mick is survived by his wife, Norma Cook Frost, whom he married on July 18, 1998 in Lewis County, Kentucky; six children, Jenny (Todd) Johnson of Peebles, Rhonda Courtney of Peebles, Greg (April) Thompson of South Carolina, Dwayne (Norma) Thompson of New Mexico, Darrel (Heather) Thompson of Piketon, and Selena (Jeff) Egerton of Lucasville; his grandchildren, CJ (Tracy) Sowards, Amber (Josh) Isaac, Justin Courtney, Trey Courtney, Amy (Brandon) Atkins, Jody (Jordan) Chavis, Cory Thompson, Sebina Thompson, Samara Thompson, Brandt Thompson, Kade Thompson, Kynley Thompson, Kristen (Matt) Cox, and Justin (Jessemily) Egerton; and seven great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his favorite canine friend, Max.

A celebration of life will be held at Lombardsville Community Church on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 11:30 am, at which time, military rites will be held outside the church, performed by the William Baker and James Irwin posts, American Legion. Following military rites, a memorial service will be held inside the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
