Bonita Belle “Bonnie” Phipps
Bonita Belle “Bonnie” Phipps, 63, of Lucasville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at her residence.
She was born April 23, 1962 in Milton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Emery and Martha Stowers Harris. Bonnie was a former waitress at several area restaurants and was a member of Community Bible Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Murphy, Geraldine Michaels, and Rosie Monroe.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Randall Lige Phipps, who she married on March 3, 1993 in Greenup, Kentucky; her children, Elisha Dowden of North Carolina, Tonya (Nick) Ries of Delaware, Ohio, Ammie (Adam) Ruddle of Franklin, West Virginia, Steven Phipps of Columbus, Shannon Sagraves of Piketon, Randy (Andrea) Phipps of Columbus, Michael Phipps of Cincinnati, and Dana Collins of Portsmouth; a brother, Andrew Harris of Columbus; three sisters, Jennifer Estep of Columbus, Nora Green of Columbus, and Michelle Phipps of Butler; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Community Bible Church, with Dr. Joe Nelson and JD Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 until the services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home.
