Joyce Gay Locke

Joyce Gay Locke, 88, a former Lucasville resident, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at her home in Bradenton, Florida.

She was born September 25, 1937 in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Arthur and Rachel Perry Erwin. Joyce was a retired bank teller and formerly attended Dry Run Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burns Ronkeith “Ron” Locke, on July 19, 2014.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Debbie Darland of Bradenton; two grandsons, J.D. Darland and Jacob Darland (fiancé Gabby Schneider); her brother, Gary Erwin; her sister, Janet Morgan; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Mckinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, with Mark Seevers officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call from 11:30 am until the service at the funeral home.
