Melissa Ellen ‘Lee’ Manning Dillon

Melissa Ellen ‘Lee’ Manning Dillon, 87, of Portsmouth, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born in Fullerton, KY, on June 18, 1938, to the late Forest and Bernice Greene Manning.

A homemaker, Lee devoted herself to the care of her son, Shawn, following an accident that left him paralyzed. She had attended Portsmouth High School.

Surviving is her husband, Daniel Lee ‘Matt’ Dillon.

She was preceded in death by two sons, William Robert Sexton and Ronald Shawn Sexton; her daughter, Laura Lee Sexton; and siblings, Robert Bell, Edward Bell, James ‘Poe’ Bell, Charlotte ‘Betty’ Worstell, and  Mary Louise Pelphrey.

Graveside services will be held at 4:30 P.M. on Monday, October 20, 2025, in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
