Jamey Lundy

Jamey Lee “Herman” Lundy, 51, of Rosemount, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

He was born September 16, 1974 in Portsmouth, a son of Patti (Wess) Smith of Minford and the late Donald Ray Leichner. Jamey was a former auto mechanic who loved deer hunting.

In addition to his father, Jamey was preceded in death by a brother, William “Buddy” Cottrell; two sisters, Denise Johnson and Lynn Smith; his in-laws, Teddy and Mary Tarr; and a special uncle and aunt, Russell and Judy Murta.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by the love of his life, Julie Tarr Lundy; his daughters, Jennifer Lundy (Daniel Mayhill) of Portsmouth and Julia Lundy (Kayla Akers) of Portsmouth; his step-mother, Kimberly Leichner of Fredericktown; his brothers, Tim (Shellie) Cottrell of Sciotoville, Jeff (Andrea) Lundy of Pomeroy, Kevin (Christina Canter) Leichner of Marion, and Donald (Anne Smith) Leichner of Mt. Vernon; his sisters, Donnetta (Shawn) Loomis of Reynoldsburg, Carl (John) Dages of Canal Winchester, and Ronda Birches of Fredericktown; his grandchildren, Katarra Miller and Harrison Mayhill; and his precious cat, Kali.

Friends may call from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Scioto Burial Park.
