Earl Emmitt Osborne

Earl Emmitt Osborne, 88, of Lucasville, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

He was born June 18, 1937 in West Portsmouth, a son of the late Emmitt and Dorothy Armstrong Osborne. Earl was a retired delivery driver for Pepsi and RC Cola and attended Community Bible Church.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his first wife, Ella “Janie” Howard Osborne on September 13, 1999, whom he married on November 15, 1955; his second wife, Rilda “Sis” Sowards Hayes Osborne on June 11, 2015, whom he married on August 18, 2001; his son, Rodney Wayne Osborne; his brothers, Gary Osborne, Richard Osborne, and Virgil “Red” Osborne; and his sisters, Norma Breech, Della McGuire, Susie Yonce, Rose Stevens, Patrica Copas, and Dorothy Mae Morgan.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025 at Community Bible Church, with Dr. Joe Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until the services on Monday at the church. Services are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home.
