Ellie May Deemer

With broken hearts and boundless love, we announce the passing of our precious daughter, Ellie May Deemer, was born in the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.

Though she never took a breath in this world, Ellie’s presence filled our lives with hope, joy, and unconditional love. She was deeply wanted, endlessly loved, and will forever be remembered as a beautiful blessing who changed our hearts forever.

We find comfort in knowing that Ellie May is resting perfectly healed in heaven, wrapped in God’s everlasting love. Though her time on earth was brief, her impact was eternal.

In addition to her parents, Alex Michael and Alyssa Ferguson Deemer, she is loved by her grandparents, Josh & Joy Deemer of Lucasville, and Philip & Hannah Ferguson of Lucasville; great-grandparents, Richard (Judy) Deemer of Lucasville, Sheryl (Jay) Hoover of West Portsmouth, Naomi Brown of Florida, Phyllis Ferguson of West Portsmouth, and Nola Grierson of Lucasville; and her aunts & uncles, Ethan Ferguson, Trent Deemer, Jayden Deemer, Holly Deemer, Lucas Deemer, and Zoey Deemer.

Ellie May was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Jack Brown, Allen Ray Ferguson, and Michael Grierson.

A memorial will be held to honor Ellie’s life and the deep love we will always have for her at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Wait’s Missionary Baptist Church, 1889 State Route 140, with Brent Saxton officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call from 12:30 pm until the services on Wednesday at the church. Services are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home.
