James Frederick Krueger

James Frederick Krueger, 69, of Waverly, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Chillicothe Adena Medical Center.

He was born December 26, 1953 in Portsmouth, a son of Margaret Viola Altman Krueger and the late William Edward Krueger.

After graduating from Waverly High School in 1972, he went on to earn his paralegal degree from Shawnee State College. He was also a member of the Community of Christ, formerly known as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Edward Krueger.

James is survived by his mother, Margaret Viola Altman Krueger of Waverly; his sister, Maria (Karl) Crabtree of Waverly; his nephew Joseph Crabtree of Waverly; and many loving extended family members and church family.

A service to celebrate James’s life will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Lucasville Community of Christ, 1392 Thomas Hollow Rd. Lucasville, OH 45648, with Jim and Rhonda Webb and Ed and Sandy Cable officiating. Burial will follow in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the church from 11:30 am until the funeral hour. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.

James will be missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
