Gloria Jeanne Payne

Gloria Jeanne Payne, 78, of Waverly, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus.

She was born September 18, 1945 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Robert and Helen Strickland Hurst.

Gloria was a retired Registered Nurse for the Veterans Administration. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing from Rio Grande College, and was a 1963 Northwest High School graduate.

Gloria is survived by one daughter, Natalie (Craig) Fraley of Waverly; two sons, Nathan (Jennifer) Payne of Waverly and Robert Payne of Columbus; four grandchildren, Seth Fraley, Spencer (Sophie) Fraley, Nicholas Payne and Noah Payne; three great grandchildren, Axel, Kyzer, and Kayleigh; and two sisters, Peggy Davis of Lucasville and Trudy Yates of Portsmouth.

Visitation will be held 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville. Graveside services will be held following in Scioto Burial Park.
