Betty Cathleen Rose

Betty Cathleen Rose, 90 of Lucasville, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.  She was born on February 5, 1933 in Portsmouth to the late Sylvester Crabtree and Kathryn Josephine Jeffries Altman.  On October 15, 1949 she was united in marriage to Joseph Edward Rose who preceded her in death on December 8, 2006.  Surviving are her children; Alan (Belinda) Rose of Lucasville, Karen Rose of Hilliard, Debbie Prose of Portsmouth and Rita Garrick of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Franklin Crabtree of Lucasville, Steven Joseph Crabtree of Lucasville and James Carl Crabtree of Lucasville.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by two grandchildren; and siblings, William Sylvester Crabtree, John Raymond Crabtree, Rosalee Stevens and Virginia Ella Crabtree.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.  The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Betty’s name.
