Richard Jay Russell

Richard Jay Russell, 28 of West Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away March 25, 2023. He was born in Portsmouth to Racheal Blanton and the late Richard Russell. Jay enjoyed riding horses and fishing, spending time with his children.

Preceded in death besides his father are a son, Xavier Russell and a Infant son.

Surviving are his children, Emmalee Jaylynn Russell of Portsmouth, Karli Donn Parker of Groveport, Ohio, Trixie Jade Bias of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Alexis Robinson of Portsmouth and Serenity Robinson of Portsmouth, mother, Racheal (Mike Caldwell) Blanton of Portsmouth, brothers, Tyler Winston Russell of Portsmouth, Taylor Chase Russell of Greenup, Kentucky, Brandon Caldwell, Michael Caldwell, Josh Caldwell and Timothy Wolfe all of Ohio, sisters, Emily Skaggs of Grayson, Kentucky, Kayla Caldwell and Amanda Wolfe both of Ohio, grandparents, Danny and Brenda Hieneman of Greenup, KY, special niece and nephew, Haylie and Tyler Caldwell and several other nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that will miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Roberson Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Witt, officiating. Burial will follow in the Blanton Family Cemetery, Brushy Road, Greenup. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Friday.
