Donald Edward Cregger, 72, of Wheelersburg passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Best Care in Wheelersburg. Donald was born November 15, 1950 in Portsmouth to the Albert Donald and the late Frances Mae (O’Brien) Cregger in Portsmouth. He was a 1968 graduate of Wheelersburg High School. Donald moved to California where he worked at the Hughes Aircraft Company before later opening and operating an antique shop he called “Looky Lou’s”. He loved going to estate sales to purchase items for his antique shop. In the early 90’s he moved back to Ohio and worked at an outdoor market on High Street in Columbus. Six years ago he moved back home to Wheelersburg. Donald loved to travel and spend time with his nieces and nephews, he especially loved going out to eat with his favorite nephew, Randy. Everyone loved Donald’s jovial spirit and his desire to see others laugh.
Donald is survived by his father, Albert Donald Cregger of Wheelersburg; a sister, Diana Cregger Gullett and husband Larry of Lucasville; a niece, Dacia Johnson Devore and husband Dave of Minford; two nephews, Russ Johnson III of Cincinnati, and Randy Johnson of Wheelersburg; several great nieces and nephews and a great great niece; special friends, Margaret Kidd of Portsmouth, Liz Smith of California, and Steve Copley of Columbus.
