Robert Lee Neace, 86, of Wheelersburg passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born April 2, 1936 in Carter County, KY to the late Jasper and Ora (Kiser) Neace. Bob was a 1951 graduate of Minford High School and was a conductor for Norfolk and Southern Railroad. Bob loved to hunt, fish, going to high school basketball games, and going to dancing and country music concerts especially George Jones and Mel McDaniels. In his later years Bob enjoyed going to different churches throughout the county and praise the Lord.
Bob is survived by four sons, Shannon Neace of Stockade, Bobby Joe Neace of Huntington, WVA, and Rickey C. Neace of Beaver, Bill Mullins (Cathy) of Michigan; three daughters including Chelsea Neace of Portsmouth; Five sisters, Jean, Geraldine, Geneva, Libby Stone and Pearl Slark; grandchildren, Braxton Authors, Briley Neace, Billy Mullins, Tiffany Mullins, Baily Mullins, and Travis Mullins; three great grandchildren, Bently, Layla, and Emaca. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jim Neace, Larry Neace, Ronnie Neace, and Johnnie Neace; and one sister, Donna Kay.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Joey Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
