Firmin “Phil” Rodrigue
Firmin “Phil” Rodrigue, 80 of Rubyville passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his residence with his family. He was born June 22, 1942 in Quebec, Canada, he was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local #437 and an active member of Rubyville Community Church. Phil loved the outdoors, was full of life, hardworking, strong, and kind. His grandchildren called him “Hot Rod Grandpa”.
He survived by one daughter, Debra (Jimmy) Daniels; one son, Robert “Sam” (Karen) Barnett; six grandchildren, Rhiannon, Brad, Ashley, Bobby, Shannon, JD; thirteen great grandchildren, Lacey, Trinity, Aden, Eli, DJ, Taylor, Travis, Shelby, Bella, Lexi, Aiden, Braylon, Gwen; one brother, Michel Rodrigue; two sisters, Luce Rodrigue, Denyse Rodrigue; his brother-in-law, Denver “Bub” Adkins, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Ann Adkins Rodrigue on May 22, 2020; one son, Billie Gene Barnett, and twelve brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Rubyville Community Church with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans and Pastor Brian Baer officiating. Burial will be at Rubyville Community Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
