Larry Lowell Lumpkins

Larry Lowell Lumpkins, 86 of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Dec. 26, 2022 at his residence. Larry was born in Dorton, Kentucky, Nov. 24, 1936, a son of the late Roy Lumpkins and Rhoda Mullins Lumpkins. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Preceded in death besides his parents are one son, Donald Lumpkins, daughter, Sonya Lumpkins Prewitt, brothers, Verlin, Bobby and Conley Lumpkins, sisters, Clotine Wente, Shirley Gilispie and Ruth Brandenburg and Pauline Lumpkins.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Burgess Lumpkins, children, Larry Joe (Clara) Lumpkins of Garrison, Kentucky, Terry Lee (Sue) Lumpkins of Garrison, Ky, Sue Anne (James) Silvey of Vanceburg, KY, Sherman (Cindy) Sadler of Crowley, Texas,  Cindy (Wayne) Watkins of South Shore, KY and Michael Lumpkins, Vanceburg, KY, Helen Nicole (Isacc Farrell) Lumpkins and Kaleb Lumpkins both of Vanceburg, KY, one sister, Dorothy Bryant of Richmond, KY, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Minister Danny Bentley and Larry Carrington, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis County Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 from 6 till 8 p.m. and one hour before the service time at 1 p.m. on Friday.
